Memories are Precious

I've done the rounds, so I guess I got this tag from...everyone!!

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

Okay, I have a couple that are kind of blending together in my mind. Not sure if they really happened at the same time or not, but here goes.
I remember when you were little (maybe 5) and had broken your leg. Someone (Uncle Mark???) cut off the cast on the kitchen table to check how the leg was healing. We were all in the other room watching a movie. Okay...did this really happen or am I just making it all up???
Just in case that didn't really happen...I remember when I was at your house in California and you still had really long hair, you somehow got gum in your hair and your mom put peanut butter in it to get it out.
And speaking of hair, I remember being at your house, and you hated getting your hair brushed so you would run out the door to school so you didn't have to have your hair brushed. I think your mom cut it really short right after that.
Hmm...weird memories, but that's all I can think of right now.

I have SO many memories of you! How about shocking PINK hair...on a sunday morning no less!

Going to court so you could add a middle name...but it was too compicated and expensive.

Getting tired of waiting for Dad to put the hinges and handle on the trap door for the crawlspace in your room...doing it yourself!

Shopping at Greenhurst nursery to buy "Stairway to Heaven" climbing roses and planting with you in the back yard and watching you care for them and add to them each year.

What a wonder you are!!

You know, I bet the lifeguard thought we were total ditz-heads! hehehe

I remember visiting with you and your family, and you and Melinda were cooking potatoes and eggs for breakfast. I thought it was so weird that you cooked the potatoes and the eggs separately, then mixed them together. We had always just cooked the eggs right with the potatoes. Funny how different families have different cooking techniques and traditions.

I remember coming to visit your family in Kuna, I think in college, and hanging out in your room with you and Melinda. I thought your bedroom was so neat with the big bookshelf thing. I don't know when this was, but you and Melinda and a whole bunch of assorted kids/cousins walked down to Arctic Circle for those seriously cheap ice cream cones. Yumm!

I remember the Christmas in California when you got a bear that had costumes from different countries. I loved (and coveted, I'll admit) that set of yours. In fact, I still have the one dress from France or Denmark or something like that that I put on one of my own bears and just never removed. Thanks!

Okay, so I have a memory that only Mom and Dad can claim sharing! I remember helping give you your first bath in the hospital after you were born! I remember telling you that I would be REALLY gentle brushing your hair and that if it hurt you could slug me; I really did try to be careful so that you wouldn't have an excuse to hit me! I remember you being absolutely determined that it didn't matter how a word was supposed to be pronounced, you were going to say it the way you wanted to and that was it! I remember digging holes and pouring concrete in the back yard when we got tired of waiting for the guys to do it :) And I remember crying at your wedding because I was so scared that you weren't REALLY as prepared as you thought you were for marriage and I didn't want you to get hurt. I know there are more, but I think that will suffice...
