Reunion

It is so close! I can't wait! I'm counting days and they go by sooooo verrry slooowwly.
I just had the most random thought: if we're all going to the reunion....what are we going to blog about? I mean, I'll be visiting my mom, and Melinda too, and we'll have that stuff to share with the rest of you. But what about the stuff that's going on at the shindig? I might be stressing about this a little too much....
Anyway, I had another thought, too. What is my house going to look like when I come home? I'm leaving my husband to look after it, and no matter how many easy meals I leave in the fridge, I just know I'm going to have pizza boxes and McDonald's bags all over the place. Will he remember to feed the cat? mow the lawn? do his own gosh-darn laundry??? And, taking all this into consideration, should I bother to make sure my house is spotless before I leave?
Oh, I must need some sleep, 'cuz all of this made sense in my head, but sounds utterly ridiculous in black and white.

....to clean or not to clean....that is the question....

I would clean as much as you feel like...and tell him that you expect it to look as good if not better than this when you get back... (like a little kid, I suppose!) Men, I tell ya!! :)

I know what you mean about leaving your husband home alone. The couple times Jon has stayed home alone for several days, he just doesn't eat. Really makes me wonder what he did before we got married. Anyway, I'd vote that you clean before going. That much less of a mess to deal with when you really don't want to clean later.

I hope you have a great time, it's so nice to be around your own family all the time. I understand hat all to well and missed mine dearly when we lived away from them. Hope you have a safe trip and a total blast!!

Not so ridiculous. I think every wife who leaves her husband in charge of the house for even a day or two has exactly the same worries! I don't think Jeff would do pizza and McD's, but I don't know if I could count on him to get the dishes done, or even picked up out of the living room, which is where they are sure to end up. Funny men, they're really just children when it comes to housekeeping sometimes. :-)
